Another of Afrika Tikkun’s initiatives for Mandela Day 2013: The 10,000 Food Parcels Challenge! The goal was to fill a big bin with 5 tons of donated non-perishable items. The desired outcome was to ensure vulnerable families in Gauteng communities don’t go hungry this winter. We were very happy to distribute R211,000 worth of food and clothing to families in need. And our Staff and Volunteers had a great time gathering! Thanks to everyone who got involved and helped to make the challenge so successful.
