Today I sit looking out my window to a bright, sunny afternoon. The sunlight makes everything look a little better, warmer, and more welcoming. Luckily for me, I get to see this beautiful light whenever I want. Windows are all around me, welcoming the sun into almost every room. Many of the students whom Afrika Tikkun serves are not so lucky.
Often the classrooms at their schools have no windows, with the walls being made either of brick or corrugated tin. This means that the rooms where these students spend hours each day are quite dark. Trying to learn in that environment is not easy, and a single window could make a big difference. For a small donation of only $35 dollars, you can buy a window for that classroom. All it takes is saving five quarters a day for three weeks, and then going to the Afrika Tikkun Gift Site. For the classroom who receives your donation, every day will be brighter. What’s more, the great feeling you get might make your day a little brighter too. Let the sun brighten everyone’s day.
